St. Paul describes the nature of thanks  which is related to the word "grace," that quality that gives gratification without expectation of return. Readings from Ruth, I Timothy, and Luke 17 (The One of ten who returned to thank Jesus) accompany this meditation as well as the hymn "We Praise Thee O God of our Fathers."
