The pressure continues to mount on President Biden to drop out of the presidential race, but he insists, he will not give up the Democratic nomination without a fight. 

Actor George Clooney, moderate New York Congressman Pat Ryan, and various other elected Democrats are the latest to say Mr. Biden should step aside.

The president is focused on running this week’s NATO summit in Washington and preparing for his news conference tomorrow afternoon, but privately he is relying on continued support from Black leaders in Congress, and trying to bolster support from voters of color, who were key to his victory in 2020. Meanwhile, some down-ballot Democrats, including in California, are becoming anxious about whether the president would be a drag at the top of the ticket, and whether those reverse coattails could cost them their seats.
