On the second episode of The Bluth, the Whole Bluth, and Nothing But the Bluth, we dive into Don Bluth's first independent short film, Banjo the Woodpile Cat! We discuss how fun and DIY the production was, Bluth's childhood cat story that inspired the film, the songs (both diegetic and non-diegetic), plus the many talented voice actors and singers. We also wade through the plot of everyone’s favorite fantasy roller skating musical extravaganza, Xanadu, just so we can talk about its two minutes of Don Bluth animation. And we cap off the episode by exploring all of Bluth's unrealized projects, including the wild ride that is Jawbreaker!
