Artificial Intelligence or AI is about emulating human intelligence by an intelligent agent. This agent can be hardware, software or hardware embedded with software. Emulating human behavior means software or hardware performing human actions. 

As humans we learn by reasoning and experience. We do this by using our primary senses such as sight, hearing, and touch.  A machine that replicates this behavior and can solve problems on its own can be called a machine or artificial intelligence.

Google Assistant, Siri and self-driving cars are some of the real-life examples of Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Srinivas Padmanabhuni is a Ph.D. in AI from University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, specializing in AI. Prior to Ph.D. he secured his B.Tech from IIT Kanpur and M.Tech in CS from IIT Bombay. He was awarded the title of "Eminent Engineer" by the prestigious and renowned organization "Institution of Engineers" (IEI). He co-founded CityMandi.com a next generation AI enabled smart B2B start-up in Agri Tech focused on farm to fork and has been the past president of ACM India, the top professional organization of computing professionals.
