As we have been covering all week, the tragic events of Uvalde, Texas have thrust the issue of guns and gun safety back into the public domain from Washington, D.C. to Sacramento.
Yesterday, the Governor pressed the issue, announcing that he wanted to see a package of bills on his desk by the end of next month in order to once again put California at the forefront of the issue of guns and gun violence.
This week also marks the second anniversary of the killing of George Floyd, Jr. and today we wanted to take a look at where we stand on these very difficult issues in terms of political movement in Sacramento and beyond.
