Dallas PD chief fires 2 officers ... and more news

Dallas police Chief Eddie García on Monday fired two officers who faced separate accusations of public intoxication and receiving pay for off-duty hours that weren’t worked; Texas man begs state for his unemployment benefits. The state says he missed a deadline;  more than 2.1 million Texas voters are on the state’s suspended list, three months before the presidential election. Voters should still be able to vote with a suspended status, but it will take an extra couple of steps; and urban wildlife comes alive as Dallas-Fort Worth goes to sleep
