#155: Sentenced-Bryan Kohberger, Whistleblower-Karen Silkwood, and the PHD cocktail

This week Jane tells us about the quadruple killing in Moscow, ID in 2022. It took police about 6 weeks to identify and arrest the suspected killer, Bryan Kohberger. Although he initially denied being the killer, in June 2025 he pleaded guilty and was sentenced in July 2025.

Deklan tells us about the dreadful working conditions that Karen Silkwood was subjected to working at a fuel manufacturing company that dealt with plutonium pellets. She discovered her body and home were contaminated by nuclear material and discussed with the labor union her findings and the need for changes. Before she could discuss the issue with reporters she died in a mysterious car accident.

We also drink the PHD cocktail.
