Governor Gavin Newsom announced in April he was deploying the California Highway Patrol and the California National Guard to address the Fentanyl Crisis in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco.
Since the CHP began their crackdown about six weeks ago, they say their officers have seized 4.2 kilos of fentanyl -- enough to kill potentially 2.1 million people.
