The California Institute of Technology announced some big changes to their admissions requirements. Going forward, calculus, physics and chemistry will no longer be required if students don't have access to those courses.
Caltech is a small university with a 3% admission rate and the hope is that this lowers barriers to students who would have otherwise been discouraged from applying.
