In today’s part 1 episode, we talk about self-experimenting, unmasking, and the process of discovering who you really are. Sarah and I both share what it’s looked like to unpack all of our ‘stuff’ - especially after receiving our ADHD diagnoses.
Today's guest, Sarah Welch, is a self-experimenting coach who helps others get reacquainted with their most authentic selves. She experienced her own trauma while growing up; she struggled with her weight, depression, and was eventually diagnosed with ADHD. She basically felt like the ‘black sheep’ of her family. Not only did she feel lost with those around her, but even more so out in the world.
Sarah and I also dive into practical steps you can take to get to know yourself again, what ‘checking in’ with yourself can look like in your day to day life, and the concept of ‘masking’. Masking is something that I think many of us as women (and moms) relate to, because we feel that we need to show up a certain way. It leads us to focus on making ourselves more ‘digestible’ for others in society, but along the way..we become a shell of ourselves, and have no idea who the hell we are anymore.
If you’re on a journey of discovering who YOU really are, you’re going to resonate sooo much with these episodes with Sarah. This is part 1 of 2, so make sure to come back for part 2 next week as we continue this conversation!!
