This weeks book & movie synopsis: 

Juliet Ashton, a London-based writer in post-WWII England, who begins exchanging letters with residents of the island of Guernsey, discovering a unique book club they formed which was created as an alibi during the German occupation of the island. As she learns more about their experiences, she feels compelled to visit Guernsey and uncover the secrets of their lives during the war.
