After decades of Congressional inaction, the federal government is finally poised to take its biggest action ever to address climate change
The sweeping Inflation Reduction Act that passed the U.S. Senate yesterday, with Vice President Kamala Harris casting the tie-breaking vote, includes aggressive climate change measures, in many ways similar to ones already in place here in California
If the House approves the bill, as expected when it votes on Friday, the new law could transform energy and transportation across the country, and, experts hope, start to turn the tide on climate change.
