San Francisco may soon crack down on scooter riders on the sidewalks, with three supervisors bringing a resolution encouraging the MTA to better enforce users who double ride, use the sidewalks, and park illegally.
But scooter companies operating in San Francisco are already supposed to be required to use "geofencing" to keep their scooters off the sidewalk by law, a rule not regularly enforced with technology that's been slow to roll out.
