Shame. We all have it about one thing or another. We threw up in 3rd-grade math class once. We made a fool of ourselves at a company party. We don't measure up to our parent's expectations. We lost our job or didn't get the job we interviewed for. We were reprimanded at work or didn't get a raise or promotion. The list goes on and on.
Today we discuss shame and how to turn it into compassion for ourselves and others. We are talking about self-punishing habits, how some of us keep shame very close to our hearts, and how for some of us, shame is our comfort zone.
