California Republican Kevin McCarthy, the Speaker of the House, is proceeding with an impeachment investigation of President Biden.

McCarthy is clearly giving in to pressure from the most conservative members of his House caucus, who threatened to try to strip him of power if he doesn’t go along with their demand for an impeachment proceeding against President Biden.
