With Matt Burke’s illustrious sporting career, he was a shoo-in for a spot on my ‘Around the Grounds’ podcast. Even though I grew up as an English and Welsh union supporter it was hard not to like Matt when I worked with him back when DVD’s existed… and meeting his wife Kate sealed the deal – top bird!

Years after hanging his rugby union boots up for the Wallabies, Matt is now a permeant fixture on our tv’s as his role as sports newsreader with Channel 10. 

We caught up to talk how ISO was going living with five ladies (he has four daughters), careers, the transition from top level sportsman to life on civvies street, Tom Jones and Botox. Standard banter.
