Hey everyone and welcome to Refinery Life Church.
The Lord’s Prayer.
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”
Every believer needs to know what the Bible says about spiritual issues.
For the next three months, “What the Bible Says” will be the theme of the Thursday evening messages.
Today’s message is titled What the Bible Says about Things That Accompany Salvation.
One fallacy that has stopped the spiritual growth of countless Christians is the concept of salvation as a termination point rather than a starting point.
It is almost as though some people, when they are save, look back on that experience and say, “Whew! I took care of that, now I can settle down to the business of living!”
And they build a fence around their Christianity and pay periodic visits to it, but by and large they live their lives as they want to.
In this Hebrews passage, the author is talking not about what constitutes salvation, rather, he is recalling what manifests or demonstrates a genuine salvation experience, both in believers themselves and to those who observe.
In the letter to the Hebrews, we discover four major gifts that accompany our salvation.
