Tis the season for recall campaigns. A group in San Francisco's Sunset District is launching an effort to recall Supervisor Joel Engardio over his backing of a plan to close the Great Highway to vehicles. And on the Peninsula, Supervisors in San Mateo approved a measure calling for a special election next March. It would give them the power to recall the county's sheriff. All of this follows successful efforts to recall Oakland's Mayor and Alameda County's DA last month.
KCBS Radio's news anchors Patti Reising and Bret Burkhart spoke with KCBS Insider Phil Matier about why these efforts are becoming so popular.
