Neomi Shah, MD, MPH, MSC, is an Associate Professor and the Associate Division Chief (Academic Affairs), in the Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Shah is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.
She completed her fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep at Yale University School of Medicine. During her fellowship, she also earned a Master’s in Public Health from the Yale School of Public Health. Dr. Shah’s research has been on focused on understanding the complex relationship between obstructive sleep apnea and cardiovascular disease.
She is actively funded by the NIH (NHLBI). She has partnered her research with leading experts in the field of cardiovascular imaging. Dr. Shah is also involved in many NHLBI funded cohort studies including the Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos (SOL) and the Multi-ethnic study of atherosclerosis (MESA).
Finally, Dr. Shah has completed a Master of Science in Health Care Delivery Leadership at the Sinai’s Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
