Greggo and Yogi kick off episode 138 and get our necks up after dope MLS Cup with special guest content creator and host of the mental health podcast series Amplified Meg Reyes! Reporting from Tampa, Meg gives us her on the ground experience in Portland at MLS Cup, where NYCFC shocked the Timbers Army and claimed their first ever MLS Cup championship! We recap the game which saw everything from a player getting hit by a tall boy beer can, to probably the most exciting goal moment in MLS Cup history when Felipe Mora scored in the 94th minute to tie the match up and take things to extra time. Though Portland lost, we chop into that experience and what's next for Portland as well as the new champs, as perhaps they can use this championship as momentum to finally get their own stadium in NYC. We wrap up the first half going into the new MLS Diversity hiring policy and if the new policy will get the sincere results being sought out.
In the 2nd half we move over to Europe and discuss the failed Champions League draw which saw several clubs upset over losing favored draws and now having to face tougher opponents. We give our way too early looks at which fixtures in the Round of 16 we're looking forward, and if Meg's starcrossed Spurs have any draw to look forward to.
We also get a glimpse by Meg of her new podcast Amplified and how athletes deal with mental health just as anyone.
