The campaign to recall first-year Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price has begun gathering petition signatures. Price has been the target of irate citizens who say her progressive approach to crime is making matters worse.
But after avoiding the media in the early months of her tenure, Price is starting to push back against her critics and defend her record.
She spoke to KCBS Radio's political reporter Doug Sovern to talk about the way she prosecutes cases, and the campaign to kick her out of office.
