故事里的人参果是珍贵的宝贝，本来孙悟空他们只是偷摘了几个解馋，因为镇元大仙的两个童子对他们态度不敬，惹得悟空毁了果树。不过最后请观音菩萨救活果树，悟空还和镇元大师成了结拜兄弟。
