Gleanings in Exodus- Not content with substituting a false god for the true One, they must, perforce, cover up their wickedness under the cloak of religion. An -altar- is now erected. Thus it has always been, and still is- man ever seeks to hide the shame of his idolatry by putting over it the name of Deity. Therefore the next thing that we read here is that, -Aaron made proclamation, and said, To-morrow is a feast to the Lord- -v. 5-.
