Just three weeks and a day until the November midterm elections, and Republicans may be gaining ground as they try to take control of the House of Representatives.
That battle will hinge in part on what happens in several key Congressional races here in California.
For months, the Democrats have been narrowing the GOP’s advantage, thanks in large part to voter anger over the reversal of Roe v. Wade. We saw higher than expected turnout among Democrats and women in special elections around the country.
But in the closing weeks of this campaign, it appears the economy may be reclaiming the top spot as the most critical issue for voters. Women could make the difference next month in terms of which party wins the Senate and the House.
