The Holy Spirit gives to each of us gifts, the most powerful of which is God's love for us and the love he has bestowed upon our hearts. But this love and these other gifts are not always apparent.
In the Gospel, Jesus simply breathes upon the disciples. A quiet, low-key sign by any measure.
Do we recognize the quiet signs even in the midst of our own anxiety and hopelessness? And even if we do see God's gift, are we able and willing to respond?
