Sheykh Efendi is saying that during Ramadan, shaytan is in chains. So you cannot blame shaytan for your wrongdoings. It is the ego declaring itself. Look carefully at your intention before taking action or speaking. Fasting in this month should help us become better servants. When you start correcting yourself, everything around you is going to be correct. Today’s people are trying to correct the other ones. Correct yourself first. Tarikat teaches you to rise from the lower self to higher stations.
