The writer of Hebrews continues to reiterate and refine his point from Psalm 95, linking the idea of “rest” with obedience in the Christian life. But here, he issues another warning: that those who disobey will not enter God’s rest, and that the standard and judge of our actions is the living and active  Word of God.
