Oakland mayor reaches out to Governor Newsom, bringing in CHP to address crime
Governor Gavin Newsom is sending CHP officers and automated license plate readers to Oakland as the city continues to deal with a violent crime spree.
This follows a request for help from Mayor Sheng Thao.
