John 2:13-22
1. Because this is sacred space, v. 14

“The consumer of today recognizes the shortage of time, they want to get the most out of every nanosecond, and retailers need to cater to this preference. Convenience means whatever suits you best. It means being able to choose what you want, when and where you want it.”
Four types of subtext in churches:
a) social reinforcement- “Aren’t we great?”
b) selling- “Isn’t this a great church?”
c) training- “Isn’t this information great?”
d) Worship- “Isn’t God great?”
