Hey everyone I’m Pastor Gary Hoban and welcome to episode 69 of Refinery Life radio /TV.

Our goal here is to release a 2-3 minute video / Podcast each day, designed to challenge you and get you to spend more time with God.

Today we are going to talk about, Preach the Word.

2 Corinthians 4:5 (ESV)

5 For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.

The apostle Paul preached the Word because he couldn’t do anything else and still remain in the will of God. Have a read of 1 Corinthians 1:17 and 9:16.

If Paul was still with us today, he would likely show us the amazing work God did through his ministry in Corinth.

He would help us see that our goal should be to share the same message.

What did Paul preach?

First, he revealed what a sinner is.

Sinners and their sin made it necessary for Christ to go to the cross.

Second, Paul revealed what a saviour is.

When he preached Christ, he preached the doctrine of a saviour who died on a cross.

Third, he preached what sin is, something so heinous that it would nail the Son of God to the cross.

Fourth, he preached what salvation is, everlasting life in heaven with the Lord.

In light of the second coming, the world needs to hear the message of the Saviour who came to redeem us from our sins.

I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word.

When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer.
