Often the Christian life can be a bit like Where's Waldo. In moments of doubt and anxiety, or even in moments of joy, we can find it difficult to see Christ in the midst of our life. We need to know where to look and it is The Church which teaches us where to look through the mystery of Her Life in Christ.

In the first reading we see the joy of the crippled man after he is healed and we see that it is this witness of joy which convinces the people in the Temple of God's power and wonder. In the Gospel the disciples see Jesus in the Scriptures and in the breaking of the bread. Both of these things are not mere past events, they still happen to us today.
