Episode #165.
I met Isaiah back in May of 2023 and we connected over talking about mental health. It is a huge honor to talk to him on the podcast and we decided that this would be part one. I look forward to having him on again in the future.
Isaiah's BIO and show description:
Isaiah expresses his experiences with severe anxiety that seemed to develop early on in my teens (from marijuana induced panic attacks), discusses the topic of whether we are determined to suffer by God (for a reason) or is this something that is just a bad draw of the hand (due to genetics or the era we’re in). Other questions we discuss are “what does it mean to be healed? And how does one define it?”
We discuss his progression from bad to “better” and extreme to “managing” over the last 4 years with all sorts of symptoms. But no matter what hardships one goes through, he believes we must stay optimistic and keep going and working towards a better clarity of mental peace.
Now that he’s officially part of ‘the club’, he feels connecting with others that are struggling with their mental health provides him with a bit of comfort in knowing that he’s not alone and don’t need to feel as alone even though this is an individual battle amongst our-selves. He’s grateful to be a part of this podcast and community.
Isaiah Aragon is a Financial Analyst at Southern California Edison and is a father of a wonderful little girl that gives him meaning and motivation to persist through times of struggle.
