MEETING JESUS: The Testimony of Nicodemus

THEME - When Nicodemus encountered Jesus he recognized that he was “a turtle on a post” –he was above everyone else, maybe looking a little silly. He needed to humbly recognize his need for the savior, Jesus, and be born again.
TEXT - John 3:1-21, 7:50-52, 19:39-40
OUTLINE
A. Introduction – “I look at the turtle on top of the fence post and remember that he didn’t get there on his own. He had help.” ~ Alex Haley
B. Before Jesus - Nicodemus had it all.
C. Encounter Jesus - Nicodemus needs to be born again through faith in the Son of God
D. After Jesus – Nicodemus surrendered it all!
