City officials in San Francisco are showing off a new tool to help fight crime. They're new mobile units which will have security cameras on top of a 22-foot mast that they'll roll out in high crime area. So how will they work?

The police department has also been using drones to catch car-break in suspects and investigate sideshows. Now the SF Standard has uncovered emails that show the department did this even though they knew it was illegal.
