When Jesus came back to his home town of Nazareth, he was met with crowds who found excuses as to why they didn't believe in him. They knew Jesus since childhood, they knew his family, and they were waiting for the "real" Messiah. Their familiarity with Jesus kept them from believing. We do the same thing today when we think of excuses to not believe. It's a good thing that Jesus is greater than our excuses.
