In the Big Picture of the Bible, it was always God’s purpose to redeem His creation. His plan moved from a human race to a nation (Israel) to a tribe (Judah) to a family (David’s line) to the King of Kings, our Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. This era of God's story of redemption is centered on His arrival and the demand for a response of faith in Christ which is the only means of redemption and hope for the human race.
