There are many economic benefits generated by renewable energy facilities. Chief among them are tax credits, tax losses and distributable cash flow from operations and from sale or refinance. These benefits are shared between the investor and developer sponsor, typically outlined in a multi-year benefit schedule. However, there are other significant economic benefits for a sponsor, the two most notable being developer fees and annual asset management fees.
