Jeremy Lavoie has acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) with his mother Danielle

Jeremy was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in March 2019 when he was 11. Over the winter, he started getting back and muscle aches. The pediatrician thought Jeremy was having growing pains or muscle spasms.

Near then end of January, Jeremy wasn’t feeling good he rolled his ankle and was limping and was having knee pain. After x-rays and an MRI, the doctors saw the cancer cell build and after additional bloodwork it was determined Jeremy had leukemia.

He received almost 26 months of chemotherapy and he finished his last treatment in April 2021.

He is doing great now and is finally starting to feel like a kid again. He has been hanging out with his friends more and has been biking and swimming and was able to play baseball this past spring. He is so excited to start football in September as it is his favorite sport.

One of Jeremy's hobbies is to have lemonade stands. This year he wanted to have one and donate the money to the Jimmy Fund, which he did a couple weeks back, and Jeremy raised $3027 for the Jimmy Fund.

Jeremy will be heading into 8th grade at Hingham Middle School in the fall.

Jeremy has 4 siblings Corey, 23, Andre, 21, Nathan, 19, and Bella, 17.
