1. Joy Comes to the Suffering
“Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth; break forth, O mountains, into singing! For the Lord has comforted His people and will have compassion on his afflicted.”

2. Joy Comes through the Suffering
“You shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”

3. Joy Comes by the Suffering of Jesus
“You have increased our joy… For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his should, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
