Jim Muir is a friend, a good customer (we print all the Dogtown stickers at Inkgenda), and a level headed hard working dude who has learned a lot in his many years around skateboarding. He's one of the few skaters who has been around skateboarding and the skateboard business for over 40 years. He's skated some awesome stuff, been part of some legendary brands like G&S, Sims, and the Original Zephyr team. He started and has managed to keep Dogtown Skateboards flowing through version 1.0, 2.0 and beyond, through many different relationships, and attempts to hijack the brand etc, and he's still going strong.
He's the first guy to ever get a published sequential picture in Skateboarder Magazine, shot by the elusive mysterious Craig Stecyk AKA C.R. Stecyk III. Those pics were shot on a fighter pilot camera no less.
He learned how to make skateboards through trial and error, research, success and failure. I think you are going to enjoy hearing his story of the path he's taken to get to where he is today.
