But consider this: in Isaiah it says, “the Word of our God stands forever.” Nature will eventually pass away, but God’s Word will endure forever and ever. It alone is permanent and foundational for knowing truth. If we rely on nature or reinterpret God’s Word according to our interpretations of nature, we’re really just building on sinking sand. We need to be like the wise builder who chose to build his house on the rock. God’s Word provides an unchanging foundation for our thinking. We need to interpret nature through God’s Word.
