Charlie Ellis has discovered that while we often put our military veterans on pedestals, we overlook the fact that many are struggling.

His dad, a World War II vet and Pearl Harbor survivor, was in a wheelchair by the time Charlie was a teenager, and he witnessed first-hand the challenges his father faced. In 2014 Charlie was part of a team to rebuild a home for an elderly woman, and by the time it was done he knew his calling was to serve veterans in whatever way needed, and Operation Enduring Gratitude was born.

A lifetime in construction has gifted him with the skills to lead volunteers in projects ranging from building wheelchair ramps to total reconstructions.
