Former President Donald Trump had his first meeting with a probation officer today, to help the court determine what the sentence should be for his 34 felony convictions.
Meanwhile, a spate of new surveys shows a neck-and-neck race between Mr. Trump and President Biden, with some of the polls suggesting those guilty verdicts may be hurting Trump a little bit.
If they are hurting Trump and helping Biden, it’s not by much, but in a race as close as this one, even a small movement at the margins could end up making a difference. But how reliable is polling in 2024, and should we be paying much attention to the surveys five months before the presidential election?
