The State of California: Republican Ted Gains joins the recall election race
This Friday is the deadline for candidates to file to run for governor in the recall election of Governor Gavin Newsom.
About 70 people have signed up so far, now there's another prominent Republican in the field: it's longtime state legislator and current member of the State Board for Equalization Ted Gaines. He's at least the fifth high profile viable Republican to jump into this race.
