She has been honored by The James Beard Foundation and the Specialty Food Association for her unique offerings at Tipsy Scoop which she started in 2014.

Her background in marketing and public relations, specializing in the wine and spirits industry as well as a fascinating family connection to the ice cream business led her to create the original recipe that Melissa discusses in this episode. She also shares the story of the viral video that led to the first Barlour and the journey from solopreneur to franchising her business.
