Stephen Kelly is the chair at Tech Nation, the UK's leading growth platform for tech companies and entrepreneurs and The Algorithm People, a leading transport decarbonisation firm. He was appointed Chair of the Science & Technology Honours Committee in December 2021, and joined the No. 10 Innovation Fellowship Board in 2021. Previously, Stephen was CEO of three listed companies, including SAGE, Micro Focus and Chordiant. In this conversation, we discuss Stephen's experience as top executive, the ways that leadership has changed and the new demands on leaders, the different cultures of entrepreneurship, working on the customer experience, purpose and prioritization, we also look at issues of gaining trust, failing fast and learning better, and more.
