Hey everyone I’m Pastor Gary Hoban and welcome to episode 53 of Refinery Life radio /TV.
Our goal here is to release a 2-3 minute video / Podcast each day, designed to challenge you and get you to spend more time with God.
Today we are going to talk about, Your Legacy.
What will you leave behind when you are gone?
As you well know, only that which is spiritual will last.
If all you leave behind are personal memories, they will fade with time.
If you leave financial security and provisions, that will take care of people’s temporary physical needs, but nothing more.
Remember as a rule the first generation builds wealth, the second generation enjoys the wealth they didn’t build and the third generation wastes and loses the wealth the first generation worked for and built.
By contrast, if you leave a godly example and you have helped people grow more spiritually strong, you will have given gifts that last for eternity.
You will have left treasures that can be passed on to future generations of believers.
That, in a very real way, is what it means to do what it says in Matthew 6:19-20 (AMP)
19 “Do not store up for yourselves [material] treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal;
Ask God today how your heavenly treasure account is going.
Ask Him to show you some simple ways that you can make an everlasting impression on others and help them follow Him.

I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word.
When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer.
Theres nothing thats too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
