In this powerful episode, we meet Hassan Fadli, founder of 5 Ironmans Beat Alzheimer’s (5IBA)—a global grassroots movement born from a deeply personal journey. After his father’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis, Hassan, a seasoned R&D leader and materials engineer with a career spanning six countries, decided to act. Inspired by his father’s courage, he launched 5IBA to raise awareness around brain health, dementia, and early prevention.
Through the extraordinary challenge of completing five Ironman triathlons, Hassan harnesses endurance sports, science, and human storytelling to shift public perception and inspire change. His work includes a documentary project amplifying over 100 voices connected to Alzheimer’s—from caregivers to researchers to youth.
More than a physical feat, Hassan’s journey is about starting global conversations on caregiving, stigma, and hope. Join us as we explore how personal struggle can spark collective action, and how sport can become a vehicle for healing, awareness, and advocacy.
