Let's talk about blowing it. Not just a mistake, but screwing up big time. This happened to me last week. I had an opportunity to present my expertise to a room full of top Oklahoma City CEOs and I blew it. The week before that, I missed an opportunity to be "in the right place at the right time" because I chose not to attend an event. The week before that, I missed a great new client by failing to follow up correctly. But, these losses are now fuel for change. I'm making major upgrades to my thought process, self-evaluation and workflow. Not just adjustments but overhauling my ideas about what can and should be done. This has opened me up to new ideas about what I can achieve and how. this losing streak shook me, but I'm actually a better professional now than I was before this. That's the conversation today. Let's talk about using big screwups to resetting your mindset, challenge your systems and swallow a huge helping of humble pie - to make yourself the best version you can be. Maybe even better than you thought you could be.
