This week on The State of California, we are continuing to focus on California’s Central Valley and the changes occurring there that affect the state’s political scene. As we have noted, California’s Central Valley is often considered a political battleground where shifts in the overall political landscape tend to be the tipping point of more widespread changes in the Golden State. Yesterday, we spoke with Democratic consultant and advisor Bob Mulholland, and today we wanted to speak with someone on the other side of the aisle about the Central Valley.
KCBS Radio's Patti Reising and Bret Burkhart spoke with Corrin Rankin, vice chair of the California Republican Party, and Dr. David McCuan, political science professor at Sonoma State University, on how the environment is changing in the Central Valley and why it matters for California politics.
